Driver's licence Status

To be able to verify your drivers licence status, You need to be able to provide the following information:

  1. Country:
  2. Driver's Licence Number:
    The number of the driver's licence is needed. (Not the personal number.)

  3. Date of Birth: The date of birth of the owner, corresponding with that on the registered licence
  4. Licence Expiry Date: The expiring date of the licence.

Important Note

The information provided on the status of your EU driver's licence is only current as at the time and date of response.

Even though the Department of Transport's records may indicate that above information is correct, there may be outstanding or current sanctions against your licence applied by the justice system of your particular country that may render your licence invalid. .

A learner's permit is not a valid licence and its details will not be displayed.
